I am a member of the Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG), bringing a background in dance and theater scholarship. My professional experience includes my work as a trauma recovery coach within the domestic abuse sector.
I serve as a committee member for the Society for the Study of Theology and am a researcher specializing in gender-based violence, faith, and embodiment. My research focuses on the impact of dance and somatic practices as therapeutic trauma recovery interventions for the African and Caribbean diaspora. A specific area of my research is the experiences of female survivors of intimate partner violence and their engagement with advocacy in faith institutions.
